Altered Pringles Lid Tutorial

Here's a tutorial for my Altered Pringles Lid

1. Buy Pringles and eat them all, you can share if you like but it's better to eat alone lol

2. Choose the paper you want to use. Then take the base of the can the Pringles came in and draw around it twice. Cut the circles of paper out.

3. Take glue and glue one circle to the top of the lid and one to the base.

4. Punch a hole in the lid towards the edge and tie a ribbon of your choice through it, creating a loop.

5. Embellish the lid and voilĂ  you're done

These are perfect for every occasion

Leopard print frame

Here's a frame that I bought ages ago and decided to decoupage to give my sister as part of her birthday gift next week. She's about the only person I know who can carry off wearing this print and actually look good in it.

Altered Pringles Lids

Here are some altered pringles lids that I've made for a swap over on LOT{S}B. The work that went into these was unreal, I mean for starters I had to go and get Pringles then eat them. Man that was very hard work lol No really, I had lots of fun making these and am pretty happy with how they turned out. I'm entering them into a challenge over on PCP too.

Maggie's Swap

It was Maggie's turn to host the monthly challenge over on Cardz n Scrapz. As we are all in recession times she decided to set a challenge where we have to upcycle something. I came to the end of my tinfoil roll and decided to use the roll to make napkin rings. I decoupaged the paper, ribbon and bling on the roll using Decopatch glue which also has a hard wearing varnish in it. I'm pretty happy with the rustic feel to these.

Birthday Card

It's funny, I started my crafting passion making handmade cards then it went to altered items and then to jewellery. Over the years I've done a mix of everything but in the last few months I've not made many cards at all. Now when it comes to making a card I really struggle so I'm feeling a little disappointed in hubby's birthday card. He liked it though and that's the main thing after all.

Some of my baking

Swedish Creme Wafers

Cornbread

For hubby's birthday as mentioned below, I did the cooking. We love Cajun & Creole food so this was the main theme of my cooking. I made jambalaya, plantation cheese log, cornbread, spicy mexican vol au vants, chicken wings, cocktail sausages, chicken gougons, creole sweet and spicy nuts and Swedish Creme Wafers. It all went down a storm and I'd people asking for the recipes. What a compliment!!!!

Coupon Folder

Concertina style inside, ATC envelopes attached to each other at the base and affixed to the cover of the folder.

Here's a coupon folder that I made for my husband as part of his birthday gift. I made little coupons for him for things such as giving him a lift to work, cooking his favourite dinner, silly little things that made him smile. He always finds his birthday a hard time but I always do my best to make it extra special with little things like this. I can see myself making more of these because it was so easy to make and can be done for any occasion really. Of course I bought him a proper gift too as you'll know from my next post.

Altered Canvas

Here's an altered canvas that I made as part of a swap. The theme was French and my partner loves red. In the background of the image through the fog stands the Eiffel Tower.

Jewellery Galore

Well I've been a very busy bee lately and have been making jewellery for a sale in work. I'm so delighted that I've been asked to sell as I had a wonderful excuse to create with my beads. I think hubby is pleased to also see me crafting and using my stash, but I promise him I'll be buying more when I'm away in a couple of weeks lol Check out my jewellery page because I've LOTS more on show there.
