My first RAK

I signed up to do a RAK on Paper Craft Planet. I've never done one before and was blown away by the generosity of my partner. Here is the beautiful card, recipe and goodies that she sent me.

Silver Wire Ring

I made this ring on Friday night, a photo of which is below. A friend of mine on a forum, Maggie, asked me to take a photo and show her how the back of it looked. So I've taken a number of shots and popped them up here. The wire work was tricky at first, but now I know how to make this ring, I'm looking forward to making more. Hopefully you will be up to making a ring and will share it with me to :)

Some Jewelery

I made these pieces tonight, what fun I had. I used my new Wig Jig for making the earrings and had great fun experimenting. The ring took me a few attempts to get the wiring right, but love how it turned out.

Double Easel Card

I was on my friends blog earlier today and saw a tutorial for this style of card. I'd great fun making it, again a different style so expanding what I do. I've a friends birthday next weekend and so made this for her, hope she likes it.

Yvonne's tutorial can be found over on http://cardartkilcooletutorials.blogspot.com/

Card inside a card

I decided to sort out my stamps yesterday and give them some type of order, they used to be just thrown in a drawer. This time I placed images in an album and sentiments in another album. It's amazing what you find when you start sorting through your craft stuff, that's just one drawer that I sorted.....goodness knows what else I'll find when I sort my craft room. Anyway, having found some stamps that I forgot I had, I took great pleasure in using them. I've a number of birthdays this month and decided to do a birthday card.

I had wanted to do something different to my usual style and so I made a card within a card. I love how it turned out and see myself making another one soon.

Tent Card

February Swap - Think Pink!

I joined Paper Craft Planet earlier this week and decided to sign up to a RAK swap. The details

"Make a card (any theme) with a heart shape somewhere on it and make it primarily pink! The heart can be a stamp, a punched shape, it can hang or use as an embellishment. Include a desert recipe in your card...."

So having seen a You Tube clip for a Tent Card, I decided to make one of my own and here it is. The you tube clip is above.

Sarah Kay

I love this Sarah Kay stamp and really need to buy more, to add to my stash. This card has been made to give my aunt.

February ATC Swap

Dianne at Cardz n Scrapz organised this month's ATC swap and the theme was LOVE. We only had to make three each. These are the ones I've made.

I had so much fun making these ATCs, using a combination of heat embossing, stamping, and the little characters are from K&Company. They are a product that I have enjoyed purchasing for so long in the USA, that I was over the moon to see my fav shop Cardz n Scrapz are now stocking K&Company products.

I love how my ATCs have turned out and wish I didn't have to swap them over lol. But then wouldn't that be defeating the purpose of a swap. Thanks for organising this Dianne :)

When does Blazing Red become Flourescent Pink?

I've decided to give my husband a LOVE album for valentines day, decorating it with photos and little verses throughout the album. I started off last Sunday by sanding it down, Tues and Wed painting it with acrylics, giving it a nice white base and then yesterday, Friday, spent time covering it in Stazon Blazing Red ink. I had painted it white so the red would come up deeper, as the colour was Blazing Red I thought perfect. Then I headed out for a couple of hours and left the album drying.

When I got back, what I saw was not Blazing Red, no in fact it had turned into Flourescent Pink, yes Flourescent Pink! Now how do you get from Blazing Red to Flourescent Pink one might ask. The answer to that, I have no idea on earth. So I sat there teary eyed, all this hard work and it was Flourescent Pink. Yes, valentines does come with pinks and reds of every shade, but I didn't want it pink and certainly not Flourescent Pink. Sitting there wondering what to do, do I throw it out or try to slavage it, then it came to me. I had only purchased this fantastic item from Cardz n Scrapz

Glimmer Glam Big Apple

So I set off covering the entire album with this gorgeous product. Hey presto it has worked!!! Woohooo!!! Thank you Tattered Angels for such a wonderful product and thank you Cardz n Scrapz for stocking it. It has done the job and now I can go off about finishing the album. I reckon it's going to take another couple of days before I have it finished. But I'm so excited and it looks so much better than I had expected. I'll be sure to post the album up here when done.

Twisted Easel Cards

I joined Paper Craft Planet earlier this week and got an email advertising a tutorial for a twisted easel card that Lyn Bernatovich put together. I was dying to try it out and just love the style. Here are two I made between last night and this evening.
